Boston University

Boston University’s Geneva Program is run by the Trustees of Boston University for US students who wish to spend a semester studying in Switzerland. Boston University is a large research university with an extensive global presence. BU’s Geneva program is run in partnership with the University of Geneva. We have two tracks in the Spring and Fall, International Relations/Law and Public Health. Both of these tracks carry 16 credits and include a for-credit internship which is arranged by the program. In the Spring we also have a Physics program: these students are on a six-month program, combining Unige Physics classes with a research project at CERN where we also have a partnership agreement. In the summer we run two short programs on Conflict Resolution and Global Governance. All students on our programs are housed in a comfortable central residence run by BU. Housing is covered by the program fees, as is Swiss health insurance and all visas and permits. A number of University of Geneva students are accepted for a year or a semester at Boston University as part of the exchange agreement.
